Claire and Vincent chose the iconic Castello di Morcote near Lugano in Switzerland’s Ticino region for their elegant destination wedding. It was my first time photographing a wedding in Morcote, and I immediately fell in love with this extraordinary location. Their ceremony took place at the beautiful Church of Santa Maria del Sasso overlooking Lake Lugano, one of the most picturesque chapels in Switzerland. The couple was getting ready at Relais Castello di Morcote, where the garden offered beautiful light and colors, just steps from the historic chapel.

With thoughtful planning by Castello di Morcote Weddings and floral design by Marta Sandri Studio, the two-day celebration was impeccable. The welcome dinner was held at Tenuta Castello di Morcote, followed by an elegant wedding apero and dinner in the marquee beside the 15th-century castle overlooking the lake.

Claire’s wedding look was effortlessly striking and deserves a special mention — her refined two-piece ensemble, featuring a sculptural silk corset and full skirt finished with a sheer lace bolero, brought a modern couture feel to her bridal look.
